Milbank capped a 4-0 day by downing 10th-ranked Harrisburg 2-1 in the championship match of the Southeast Classic volleyball tournament on Saturday in Tea South Dakota. The Bulldogs improved to 10-1 on the season.
Milbank’s other wins were against Tri-Valley 2-1, Dakota Valley 2-0 and Vermillion 2-0.
In the championship match, Mandy Frogner slammed 17 kills and Megan Nedved nine to lead the Bulldogs. Frogner was 29-31 spiking and Nedved 28-28. Nedved also was 14-16 serving with three aces and 13 digs.
Sami Nygaard was 88-90 setting with 31 assists. Mackenzie Mears contributed four blocks. Frogner had 49 kills and eight in Milbank’s four matches.
