Subject: Be Careful of Christmas Tree Fires Mon Nov 30, 2009 10:44 pm
Christmas season is upon us and for many that includes a tree. Fires can happen to artificial trees as well as real ones but the video below shows the difference between a dry tree and one that is watered. If you have a real tree be sure to keep it watered. There is an incredible difference between green wood and dry wood.
Have a safe and happy Christmas Season.

Hi!
I've never had a Christmas tree fire, but something people might not think about is how dangerous the fire retardant used on Christmas trees is. I hate to think what it would do to a small child, but I had a cat who nibbled on a branch once and became horribly ill for several days. After that - artificial trees for me!
