BSC has opportunity for a grant if Citizens approve

On Monday, August 18m 2008 at 6:30 p.m. at the Senior Center in Big Stone City a meal will be served with a presentation by David Olson from South Dakota State University to determine our interest in seeing Big Stone city become a Horizons Community.

The Horizons Community Program will help our community determine what our needs are and take us from the ideas phase to turning those ides into attainable goals and implementing those goals to completion. Grant money is available to help us get our project started if there is sufficient volunteer support to see this effort through to completion.

Please contact the city office at 862-8121 and let them know if you will be attending no later by noon on Friday, August 15th, 2008

All of us need to sit back and examine where our community is at today and we need to assist our chidlren in reaching their goals. What a great opportunity to move in a positive direction.
